Site of an ancient town Dalverzin Tepe

Many historians and archaeologists have still been carefully studying a unique place - Dalverzintepe, the main city of the powerful Kushan Empire. The hillfort attracts with its secrets and a lot of valuable things found there. One of the largest in the history treasure (about 36 kilograms of gold)  was found in Dalverzintepe in 1972. It was a precious treasure of the Kushan (jewelry, figurines, tableware and many other items, dating back to I in. n. e.).  Also there were findings of precious stones, ivory, ancient chess pieces, copper coins, ceramics and others. Archaeological excavations made it possible to learn many new facts about the peculiarities of town-planning, culture and fortifications of Northern Bactria. Sculptures, paintings and statues suggest that the level of people's culture of Kushan era was in a high level.
