"Abdulla Qodiriy" metro station
The station "Abdulla Qodiriy" has appeared on Yunusabad line of Tashkent Metro in autumn 2001. It was named after the well-known in Uzbekistan writer and poet Abdulla Kadiri. The station is located in the southern part of Yunusabad district on Amir Temur Avenue and consists of one island platform. Bright stained glass above the entrance illustrates the poet's works. This is the only station in the city with tetrahedral columns with open-worked grates.
