Aktepa Yunus-Abad
Today Aktepa Yunus-Abad is the largest site of archaeological excavations. Archaeologists led by doctor of historical sciences Shishkin made excavations in the area for the first time in 1948.At that time there were findings of Chach coins and bases of ancient buildings. Aktepa is the highest point of the Yunus-Abad district of Tashkent, meanwhile the Yunus-Abad is the highest place of the city. If you climb the hill Aktepa, you will be able to see the whole Tashkent. But few people know that this hill is the remains of a fortress built in the 5th century AD, which protected Tashkent from enemy raids from the north from the 5th to the 8th century.
